We hope that this issue reaches you after a lovely Thanksgiving holiday with friends and family. In this time of giving thanks, Peter Paul is grateful for so much! As we near the end of this first semester in the 2017-2018 school year, we are thankful to have our beautiful and newly expanded facility. We are also thankful to have so many incredible people that fill it every single day. Our children, parents, mentors, tutors, educators, volunteers, and many more make our space a joyful place to be. We hope that the stories below reflect the joyfulness that we feel at the Center and in our satellite sites.
October may have felt like summer in RVA but Peter Paul is getting into the fall spirit! Our 4th Annual Rise & Shine Breakfast was a memorable experience, with powerful words from a Peter Paul parent! We also have a relatively new member of the volunteer family, who has brought his love for gardening and for the community to the Center. This issue is chock-full of great updates and stories – enjoy!
It’s that time of year once again! Richmond and Peter Paul are back to school. We are excited to have our students with us again, equipping them to serve as positive contributors to their family, community, and society. We look forward to yet another year of academic growth and community building!
That’s a wrap on Summer Promise 2017! We have had an incredible seven weeks with our students. The Center has been a beehive of activity that has included creative art projects, a cooking program, learning to swim, many field trips, and so much more! The children will be back with us on September 18. We hope to see you here in the coming school year!
Things at Peter Paul are heating up and it’s not just the weather! Summer Promise is in full force and we are just getting started. We are also excited to introduce some new team members joining us at the Center. If you’re not already planning to visit us this summer, we’d love to have you – Summer Promise is a great way to see Peter Paul at its finest!
